The Italian Government will dispatch on Thursday(27 Jan) relief assistance to the flood-affected in Sri Lanka. A special cargo aircraft will leave Italy in early hours of tomorrow with the relief goods valued at over SLRs. 27 million.
The special aircraft containing the relief assistance will arrive in Sri Lanka late evening on Thursday, 27th January The goods being dispatched are those which are re-usable in future emergency situations as well. The goods include inflatable boats, multi-purpose tents, safety jackets, diesel generators, water tanks, water purification units, blankets and emergency food items etc.
